This is our favorite place for eating in Greensboro.
We have been coming here for many years .
They have veggies, salads , homemade veggie soup, breakfast all day and daily specials etc.
The tenderloin breakfast special is one of a kind.
The cooks, waitresses and staff are top notch!
Don't miss this Southern experience! -

This rating is all about expectations vs. reality... which should be how most any review should go.
My expectation. Passable diner food, served quickly, good service, average prices.
My reality. Good diner food, served quickly, good service, cheap prices.
It became clear to me pretty quickly that I was the only person here not receiving the senior citizen discount, but that is totally fine. If I am here, I'm looking for sustenance and nothing more, not trying to impress a date. I had the special of the day, meatloaf with two sides and a choice of bread. The meat loaf had a nice flavor and almost tasted a bit creamy, must have a lot of bread in it, but that was good enough for me.
For the sides I went with fried okra and lima beans. I think I would skip the okra next time, but it was ok enough. The lima beans were just how I like them, a little overdone so they are slightly mushy. Everything needed a little salt... again... I figure most people in the restaurant are watching their salt intake, so, adjust for yourself as needed. The cornbread was good, but nothing I would rave about. The sweet tea was good southern sweet tea, as I'd expect.
Overall, my expectation were met, and even slightly exceeded. One thing that should be noted... they are CASH and CHECK only. So don't let that get you off guard, or you'll be washing dishes with Danny. -

Have been to other places in Greensboro and everywhere I go I order bacon egg cheese omelette. For 7 dollars 3 egg real bacon potatoes toast and coffee you can't go wrong.

Great breakfast selection. Michelle is a wonderful waitress. My only complaint is they don't take credit or debit cards. Who carries cash on them anymore? Had to go to an ATM down the street to get cash which added $3 to my total cost of breakfast!

Eat there several times a week. Great food reasonably priced. Breakfast and lunch. Always friendly service.
